mindblowing

Beyond all expectations

Mindblowing describes something so impressive, surprising, or revelatory that it overwhelms your capacity to process it—as if your mind has been blown apart.

The term emerged from 1960s drug culture to describe psychedelic experiences but now applies broadly to anything extraordinary: The special effects were mindblowing, a mindblowing plot twist.

It's often written as two words or hyphenated (mind-blowing) and frequently subject to hyperbole.
