iridize
Give rainbow colors
To iridize is to make something iridescent—to give it that rainbow-like shimmer that shifts with the angle of light.
Glass can be iridized through chemical treatment or metallic coating: The artisan iridized the vase to create a peacock-feather effect.
The process produces surfaces that seem to contain trapped rainbows.
