inapparent
Escaping casual notice
Inapparent means not readily visible or obvious—present but undetected.
The term appears most often in medical contexts, describing infections or conditions that produce no noticeable symptoms: an inapparent case of the virus, inapparent carriers who spread disease unknowingly.
Outside medicine, nonapparent or simply not apparent are more common.
