A hen weekend is a British term for a celebration held for a bride-to-be before her wedding, typically involving a group of female friends.
The American equivalent is bachelorette party.
Like its counterpart the stag weekend for grooms, it often involves travel, drinking, and activities the bride wouldn't normally do: We're going to Barcelona for Sarah's hen weekend.
