hard contacts
Stiff vision correctors
Hard contacts are rigid contact lenses made from firm plastic, as opposed to soft contacts made from flexible, water-absorbing materials.
Hard contacts—now usually called rigid gas-permeable or RGP lenses—offer sharper vision correction and greater durability but require a longer adjustment period: It took me weeks to get used to hard contacts.
