hanging nest
Dangling bird shelter
A hanging nest is a bird's nest suspended from a branch or other support rather than resting on a surface.
Orioles, weaverbirds, and hummingbirds construct these pendulous structures, often woven from plant fibers and grasses into pouch-like or basket shapes: The oriole's hanging nest swayed in the breeze.
