flower moons
Spring's full moons
A flower moon is the full moon in May, named for the spring blooming season in the Northern Hemisphere.
The term comes from traditional names for full moons throughout the year, popularized through Native American and colonial American almanac traditions: We watched the flower moon rise over the garden.
