ethics policy
Workplace behavior rules
An ethics policy is a formal document outlining standards of conduct for an organization's members—typically employees, but also board members, volunteers, or contractors.
It addresses conflicts of interest, confidentiality, gift-giving, and other situations where judgment calls arise: The company's ethics policy prohibits accepting gifts from vendors.
Most large organizations require employees to acknowledge the ethics policy annually.
