Curb stomping is a brutal act of violence in which the victim's open mouth is forced against a curb or edge and their head is stomped, causing severe injury or death.
The term gained wider recognition from its depiction in the 1998 film *American History X*.
It now appears figuratively for any thorough defeat or destruction: Our team got curb stomped in the playoffs.
