cracking on

Getting moving again

Cracking on means getting started or continuing with energy and determination, especially on a task or journey.

Primarily British: We'd better crack on if we want to finish by five.

It can also mean making good progress: The builders are really cracking on now.

In British slang, cracking on with someone means flirting or making romantic advances.
