US pint
American liquid measure
A US pint is a unit of liquid volume equal to 16 fluid ounces or about 473 milliliters.
It's smaller than the imperial pint used in Britain (20 fluid ounces), which can cause confusion: A British pint of beer is noticeably larger than an American one.
In American cooking and commerce, pint usually means the US measure.
