untrapped

Escaped the snare

Untrapped means not caught in a trap, or released from one.

The word applies literally to animals and figuratively to people or things freed from confining situations: The untrapped mice scattered when we opened the cage.

It can also describe something that has never been captured or contained: untrapped potential, untrapped energy.
