undershare
Keep cards close
Undershare is to reveal less personal information than a situation might call for, the opposite of overshare.
Someone who undershares keeps thoughts, feelings, or details private when others expect openness: He tends to undershare—I've known him five years and barely know anything about his family.
The term emerged alongside overshare as social media normalized public disclosure.
