IDEA finds that its research is most useful when the findings can be translated into tools that help broaden educational efforts around the globe. To this end, IDEA has developed a number of tools that are implemented or adapted by other researchers and Web developers.
IDEA’s research has formed the foundation of:
- SpicyNodes, IDEA’s intuitive method of visually displaying complex sets of online information.
- Color Diamond, which enables developers and designers to visualize and select colors in 3D space.
- Vision Simulator, which helps designers make web sites more accessible to people with color blindness and cataracts.
- A variety of ActionScript classes and components.
